Borg \/ McEnroe - who has more tennis?<\/h2>\n

A guy comes to his friend, he's watching, and there's a big tennis court in the yard with stands for several thousand people. On the court, Bj\u00f6rn Borg and John McEnroe play the match. He goes to a friend and asks:<\/em>
\n- Dude, how did you have so much money to treat yourself to all this?<\/em>
\n- And you know, because I have a gold fish that fulfills every wish.<\/em>
\n- Lend it to me! I will give you tomorrow!<\/em>
\n- Okay, just be careful, she's very deaf, you have to talk to her clearly.<\/em>
\nThe guy took a fish and went home happy. He put it on the table and loudly, clearly, slowly speaking to her, accenting every word:<\/em>
\n- Gold fish! I want to have gold.<\/em>
\nFish on it:<\/em>
\n- OKAY. Go to sleep and in the morning the wish will be fulfilled.<\/em>
\nThe guy gets up on the second day, and here his house is crushed by a mountain of mud. He grabbed a fish, flies to a friend and shouts:<\/em>

Tennis like a track<\/h1>\n

Tennis and cycling have a lot in common, except of course that tennis players earn money for their games. If they did not make money, nobody would watch this sport. The similarity will be perceived by anyone who decides to watch all the long-time single player fights during the Grand Slam tournament. It looks similar to ping-pong, but everything happens slower and longer.<\/p>\n

Fans of cycling track racing will be delighted that their head can perform similar, circular movement throughout the whole event. Let's return to the merits. We were at the premiere of a new sports movie. Some well-known people came, like Szewi\u0144ska, gentlemen Fibak, Czerkawski, Strasburger, Stan Borys and others. It's nice when the photojournalists are throwing at everyone who comes in, and when you show up at the entrance, they have a minute to rest ;-)<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In the film Borg \/ McEnroe. There was a lot of hope between courage and madness<\/strong>. Maybe because I like watching sports movies in the cinema, or maybe because Panda told me about it every other day for half a year, as it took part in introducing it to cinemas. We do not have any luck with films with athletes - especially cycling. They are usually not very successful, artistic documents or pompous stories in which the protagonist exercises from morning to night, paving the way from the social lowlands to the top and so on. Sometimes, however, you will get a gem and I expected it.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Tennis - the ball is one, the rockets are two<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

I'm not a fan of tennis. I have been watching Nadal and Federer for some time, cheering the Swiss (now probably 30% disable the card in the browser), and my historical knowledge about this sport ends at the time of Andre Agassi (this guy from Canon Eos<\/a> in 1991. and shaving your head with a razor, and Steffi Graf (from Rexony ads<\/a> in 1994). I also think that, like volleyball, it is one of the most fair sports. Points are gained here so much, and the duels last so long that it is impossible to talk about the case in it. The winner is always the one who is better on a given day - a full stop. My ignorance of tennis is so big that by the time I saw the billboard in the cinema, I was sure that Borg McEnroe is the name and surname of one man.<\/p>\n

It is not - it's two different guests - a Swede who resembles perfectly Niki Laude and an American, counterpart of James Hunt. And yes - you guessed it well - this movie is practically a copy of "The Race" from 2013. In short: if you are passionate about tennis, you will probably see it anyway. If you liked "Wy\u015bcig" then "Borg \/ McEnroe" you will like it too. If you do not know which one won the famous duel on the Wimbledon courts in 1980. it does not hurt either - even better, because the film keeps you a bit more tense. That's why I recommend you do not googling before watching, then compare it to the reality you see on youtube.<\/p>\n

I do not know how to review movies, but I go to the cinema a lot. In the flood of better and worse mass cheesy and cinematography more ambitious and completely incomprehensible to me, which is being attacked by film festivals, "Borg \/ McEnroe" introduces a slight breath of freshness. Which of course may be objectively completely untrue, but this is how I perceive myself as a layman and representative of the consumer mainstream. Maybe just the better movies do not reach me.<\/p>\n

A slightly different approach to the subject is nice here. Instead of the scheme "from scratch, through some failure, to the hero" and "training for 15 hours a day and running in the tracksuit up the stairs will make you master" focuses more on mental fatigue and pressure.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

It's cold in the north<\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

The film is Swedish (partly) and it shows. In times when everything is colorful (saturation and clarity), it's nice to look at something slightly faded. Scandinavian colors (I have no idea if there is such a thing, but for some reason I'm always cold in the movies) and interesting shots give the impression that you are watching something decent. There are no epic exchanges on the court, tricks, matrix close ups and everything, thanks to which you look and speak WOW. Here, good looks at the whole. Seems like a boring sport, because this ball goes from one to the other, for an indecently long time, and the effect is a bit like looking at an aquarium. Still the same, and yet you watch, because it's nice. There are not many movies that I'm looking at because they are pretty. In Bruges<\/em> it was like that Watchmen<\/em> it was so, it was hard for me to think of something else.<\/p>\n

And you're getting tired of it. But not as physically as usual, only mentally. The pressure on the two best tennis players in the world at that time is also given to the viewer ... and this is good because sometimes it is forgotten. The tension is built gradually and culminates in the final duel, which is not difficult to guess - it will come (it's not a spoiler, it's like saying that the Titanic will sink). It's funny: all you know is that it will take place, because even the poster shows it, but it's irrelevant. Such a procedure effectively makes you want none of them to lose, even though most of the film presents Borg and he is the main character here at the first glance. Unfortunately, in sport it is never - where one wins, there are many losers.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

And why am I writing this? Because I had a dream.<\/h1>\n

A dream in which a film about cyclists is created. Not about how they suffer physically, because they were already there a long time ago (eg Hell of the North from 1977). Not one that embarrassingly (for me) focusing on pain after accidents like -reviewed<\/a> recently, Beautiful Losers (who won the Warsaw Film Festival award for the best document, and naszosie.pl speaks about it in great terms). Not the same, which will show doping and controversy, things that the average Kowalski are interested next to the misfortunes the most. I dream about a movie that shows the life of a cyclist from behind his back. It's an invisible life, problems that can not be seen in racing reports. Something, after which a man would think about his comment "You mendo, why did you lose ?!<\/em>", Which he pushes to the Internet after the finished relationship. "Wonderful Losers" had a chance and wasted it.<\/p>\n

Can you imagine a movie about Quintan, for example? Quick introduction, which shows Nairo growing up in Colombia, a few scenes as it reaches the top and then the Tour. He is cheering for him the whole country. Nairo gives his all, he goes to stage 17, his form is not as good as Froome. He is dying on the wheel. He returns to the hotel, falls on the bed, fires up the Internet and reads a hundred thousand comments that he is a flop, because he was traveling. Although maybe he is not a good example, because nobody likes him ;-) But you know what I mean. A film a little deeper than usual, showing the weight that is carried in the head when millions look at you and you have to win.<\/p>\n

Borg \/ McEnroe is like that. Maybe it's my sports perversion, maybe free drinks at the premiere, but I think it's a perfect complement to current sports videos. Once again, this blog confirms the thesis that people do not watch sports for sport, but for athletes. Two expressive and different characters are always a recipe for sports success. And probably it is not a movie of the year, it will not win prizes outside the sports environment, but potato chickens: it's been a long time for nothing in the cinema to look at me so well.<\/p>\n
